A: Personal College Consultants began in 2013 and has grown to become CollegeMasters with two new professional counselors.

Q: What are the counselor’s certification?

A: All counselors are NY State Certified School Counselors and College Academic Advisors.

Q: Does CollegeMasters visit Colleges?

A: Yes, we visit Colleges every chance we get and speak to admissions counselors at various schools.

Q: When does CollegeMasters start working with students?

A: It varies from family to family, it is an individual decision.  We start meeting with students anywhere between 9th to 12th grade, or Post-Bachelor’s Degree.

Q: Does CollegeMasters only work with certain types of students?

A: No, we work with all students and cater to a wide variety of needs.

Q:  Does CollegeMasters have experience working with Student Athletes?

A:  Yes, one of counselors is well versed in Athletics.  She played Division 1 College Athletics.

Q: Does CollegeMasters have experience with Graduate or Professional School Applications?

A: Yes, two of our counselors are well versed in Law & Medical School Applications.  We work with all professional school applicants and Graduate School.

Q: Where does CollegeMasters meet with students?

A:  Anywhere in a public setting.  Ex. Starbucks, library, etc.

Q: Does CollegeMasters work on Weekends?

A: Yes, CollegeMasters understands the complexity of schedules, and makes every effort to make a time that works for our students.

Q: Does CollegeMasters help with the College Essay?

A:  We will look over essays for content and grammar.
